Others can say "it's all in your head". But yeah - that's the problem. Don't be dismissed. Your fight is still real. And there are ways to go about it.

Along with speaking to your GP, self-education helps. A book I've found helpful is Change Your Thinking by Sarah Edelman. It's not too medical and has many practical examples.

Whoa. What a rush.

I woke up today wondering if yesterday really happened.

Life - right? Even during a time like this it finds a way to be full of surprises.

I've started scripting a video which will share some things I didn't say on air. There's always more to the story.

For now, I'll say, keep going with yours. I coop myself up in my room with a typewriter. But there are many ways to express yourself. There's food, gardening, yoga, dance, painting etc

Find what you enjoy. That comes first. And then... who knows. Maybe a whole bunch of people who enjoy and appreciate what you create, will find you. That's how it feels my story has played out...

Yesterday was one of those days that have been more often those days during this pandemic. I freestyled this off the cuff this morning and now I'm standing in the sun eating a brownie.

The other night I had a dream that led to some ins

The other night I had a dream that led to some insight...

I was ten, again. Where my peers had come to stop playing with action figures, I was still obsorbed in them. They were more than toys to me; they were tools. I'd create stories, characters and entire worlds. And lose myself in them for hours.

Sadly, part of me also felt a sense of shame for playing. And I've come to recognise I still feel this shame now when I find myself spending more time on my creative hobbies. It's as if I have one foot on stage, one still behind the curtain.

This is because we live in a society where money is always at the forefront. But there's many ways to value something.

What I'm looking at here is meaning.

Art and creativity puts me in a better headspace, it connects me to the world and it connects me to others.

I'm reminding myself that, sure I've packed those toys away - but it's important I keep that playful essence and step out with both feet. Because art matters.

Remember we're in a pandemic with a 100% effect rate. Lives have been lost, but even more livelihoods have been disheveled and shattered. Catching COVID is not the only way to suffer.

In my own experience, 'hope' is a highly individual process. And it works best when one finds their own meaning - however small it is - and has an active role in making something out of it.

mention that people love the pieces I stick up outside. Seemingly insignificant, but it's mine. Hearing this brought a smile to my face. And likewise, my wish is that you find your threads and help others to do the same.

Watch the bees. They are tiny teachers.

They show us that being small doesn't mean playing a small role.

They show us that hard work doesn't mean hardly any pleasure to be found - especially when you find sweetness in the taste of what you're chasing.

It doesn't matter how many times we hear that this

It doesn't matter how many times we hear that this is "the new normal". It's still a f*ing pandemic. And if anything, the longer it drags out, the harder it becomes to drag ourselves through the days.

Whatever novelty there was from baking bread, zoom calls and getting up at 8.50 before work at 9, has long expired. Now I'm feeling expired. If you are too, remember that pandemic fatigue exists. Be kind to yourself.

Of course, we can't just kick it on the couch till this passes. We have to keep moving. A halfway approach I've been sharing with clients is breaking down their goals and bringing them closer. It's counter to our hustle and grind culture, but it's more than warranted.
